An expert on corporate governance, Pascal Levensohn has served as board chairman, audit committee chairman, compensation committee chairman, and board secretary for venture-backed companies since 1996.

He first served as a public company director in 1993 and served as the Chairman of the Board of SoundThinking, Inc. (NASDAQ:SSTI) from the company’s IPO in 2017 until June 2025.

He currently serves as either a fiduciary director or formal board observer on several US and Europe-based venture-backed companies: Fiduciary director of DigiLens, Inc. (Sunnyvale, CA, USA); board chairman, NativeWaves SA (Salzburg, Austria); formal board observer, Salvia BioElectronics (Eindhoven, Netherlands).

Pascal is a former director of the US National Venture Capital Association (2007-2011).  He is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a former Trustee of the American Academy in Berlin (2016-2019). He is a former co-chairman of the Socrates Society Forum of the Aspen Institute (2007-2009); a former Chairman of the San Francisco Jewish Community Federation’s Business Leadership Council (2007-2008); a former Vice President and Director of San Francisco’s Congregation Emanu El (1994–2000).
